Now a virtuoso of her craft, her curiosity explores the boundaries between classical music and popular music. A programme with a distinct South American sound, this concert pays hommage to one of the most celebrated Brazilian composers and classical guitarists, Villa Lobos.

International Guitar Night (IGN), now in its 24th touring season, is a global force that champions the diversity of acoustic guitar. This annual concert tour unites exceptional guitarists from various cultural backgrounds, fostering cross-cultural musical exchanges that break the boundaries of what’s possible on acoustic guitar.

Fingers will fly across the frets when International Guitar Night comes to The Barns. The evening features a United Nations of guitar players, including Italian fingerstyle guitarist Luca Stricagnoli, Australian blues slide guitarist Minnie Marks, Brazilian classical guitarist Marco Pereira, and Vietnamese award-winning classical guitarist Thu Le.

The International Guitar Night is back! Come sample the many flavors that the guitar has to offer; from steel string finger-style innovator Luca Stricagnoli, to classical guitar virtuoso Thu Le, Brazilian master Marco Pereira, and the “blazingly electrified” guitarist and singer-songwriter Minnie Marks. Each of these incredible artists will perform solo, and team up throughout the concert in one-of-a-kind ensembles. Don’t miss it!

The Juilliard School

This concert pays tribute to clarinettist Martine Leblanc and trombonist Alain Pire, two pillars of the OPRL, born in 1960 (the same year the Orchestra was founded), who will be retiring during the 25-26 season. These two musicians will be joined by a pianist, a string quartet, and the entire trombone and tuba section, in an extremely varied program of works (including tangos) by Dutch, German, Belgian, Argentinian, French, Spanish, and Italian composers. The concert will be presented by Hans Reul, a musicologist, former journalist (BRF), and trombonist himself.
