Eddie Harris would have turned 89 on October 20th this year. He was an innovator on his instrument , the tenor sax. He was born in Chicago , went to Dusable high school and recorded many albums of fantastically swinging and funky music ! Juli Wood's tribute to Harris , the quartet Eddie Who ? , will perform two sets of music written by Harris. The band has played at several of Chicago's finest jazz clubs and are thrilled to be back at the Jazz Showcase to celebrate the life and music of Eddie Harris. Please join us for one night only to celebrate this Chicago jazz legend ! Sets at 8:00 and 10:00
