Kevin Zhu, a violin prodigy who began his musical journey at the tender age of three, has since garnered international acclaim, winning prestigious competitions such as the Paganini Competition and receiving the Avery Fisher Career Grant. Known for his "awesome technical command and maturity" (The Strad) and "absolute virtuosity" (L’ape musicale), Zhu continues to dazzle audiences worldwide with his performances.

Joining him is the equally talented Maxim Lando, a pianist celebrated for his "remarkable virtuosity and musical sensitivity." Lando has made headlines performing alongside renowned artists and has won numerous awards, including the Gilmore Young Artist Award and First Prize in both the New York Franz Liszt International Competition and The Vendome Prize.

The program for the evening includes a selection of works that showcase the depth and breadth of their musical artistry, featuring compositions by Maurice Ravel, Eugène Ysaÿe, Lili Boulanger, and Franz Waxman.

The Rosen House at Caramoor

The season concludes with a thrilling finale, featuring Antonín Dvořák’s lyrical and fiery Sixth Symphony and Hector Berlioz’s Le Corsaire Overture, inspired by the thieving pirates of Lord Byron’s poetry. Soloist Maxim Lando joins the orchestra for a breakneck cascade of notes in Camille Saint-Saëns’ Second Piano Concerto.
