Enjoy love songs from Little Mermaid, Phantom of the Opera, Fiddler on the Roof, and so much more. The orchestra is joined by 5 local guest soloists and longtime friend of the ASO Kristi Tingle Higginbotham.

Opera Birmingham is thrilled to present "Opera Unveiled: A Concert of Greatest Hits," a spectacular showcase of opera's most cherished melodies, set to take place at the Dorothy Jemison Day Theater at the Alabama School of Fine Arts. This grand concert is scheduled for Friday, April 26, 2024, at 7:30 P.M. and Sunday, April 28, 2024, at 2:30 P.M., promising an unforgettable journey through the heart of opera's rich repertoire.

"Opera Unveiled" brings to the stage an array of opera's finest moments, from the soaring and poignant arias of Puccini and Verdi to the delightful comedic elements of Mozart. Attendees will be treated to a selection of arias and ensembles that have captivated audiences worldwide, performed by a stellar cast of artists, including sopranos Kathleen Farrar Buccleugh and Allison Sanders, tenor Roderick George, and baritone Daniel Seigel, among other special guests. The Opera Birmingham Chorus and the Alabama Symphony Orchestra will join forces to deliver powerful ensemble performances, ensuring an evening of exquisite musicality.

The concert will feature performances sung in their original languages, accompanied by English supertitles, allowing the audience to fully immerse themselves in the beauty of the operatic voice. With a performance length of approximately 2 hours, including one intermission, guests are guaranteed a comprehensive experience of opera's greatest hits.
