First presented in 1998, Sarah Kane's play Crave is a work with a strong poetic charge and great violence. With its many openings of meaning and its almost complete absence of stage directions, it constitutes a considerable creative challenge that the graduates of the École supérieure de théâtre de l'UQAM wanted to take up as part of the free production.

Les 2 Mondes Theater

This play, with its cynical and scathing humor, was written in 1996 by the German-speaking Swiss Urs Widmer, based on testimonies from people who had been laid off. It explores the alienation of the individual in the workplace, the cult of success and performance in neoliberal society. Michel-Maxime Legault staged it for the first time in 2008, with the Théâtre de la Marée Haute, in the midst of the economic crisis. In light of the looming recession, the director wanted to update the text and anchor it in the reality of the job market here and now, also seeking to make the audience an intimate witness to the actions of these characters overwhelmed by the situation.
