This play, with its cynical and scathing humor, was written in 1996 by the German-speaking Swiss Urs Widmer, based on testimonies from people who had been laid off. It explores the alienation of the individual in the workplace, the cult of success and performance in neoliberal society. Michel-Maxime Legault staged it for the first time in 2008, with the Théâtre de la Marée Haute, in the midst of the economic crisis. In light of the looming recess...
