A concert series in a relaxed setting: musicians play shorter, well-known pieces and the audience can chat, comment or listen. This evening features Kurt Weill's Suite from 'Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny' in a version for saxophone, string quartet and piano.

What's twice as cool as one symphony orchestra? Two symphony orchestras! The stage is filled to bursting point when Copenhagen Phil, together with their colleagues in the Odense Symphony Orchestra and their chief conductor Pierre Bleuse, plays Richard Strauss' mammoth work, the Alpine Symphony . The whole splendor begins with Bruch's atmospheric violin concerto – a favorite among musicians and audiences – with the 19-year-old Danish talent, Selma Teilmann, as soloist.

The season ends with a cavalcade of classical highlights when Christian Øland leads the Tivoli Copenhagen Phil for the concert Mesterstykker i Tivoli #2. After exuberant overtures by Carl Nielsen and Rossini, we travel with Rachmaninov into the piano's melodic universe - meet Stravinsky's Firebird , followed by catchy pieces by Mozart, Beethoven and Ravel. The concert concludes with Prokofiev's sumptuous music suite for the ballet Romeo & Juliet – some of the best ballet music composed to date.
