This monumental event takes place from April 10 through April 15, 2025, at the prestigious Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall. Experience the mythical world of gods, Rhine mermaids, and dwarves in Wagner’s first opera of the iconic Ring Cycle, a story that has influenced generations, from Tolkien’s "The Lord of the Rings" to John Williams’ soundtrack for "Star Wars."

Conductor Carl St.Clair, renowned for his expertise in Wagnerian opera, having conducted the entire 15-hour Ring Cycle from memory in Weimar, will lead the Pacific Symphony through the gripping narrative of "Das Rheingold." This semi-staged opera, performed in German with English supertitles, promises an unforgettable journey through Wagner's mythic prologue, where the stakes are as high as the heavens and as deep as the Rhine itself.
