A treat for Advent - three singers who enjoy close ties with the company have come up with a contemplative evening of operatic arias and Christmassy music. The young countertenor Iurii Iushkevich made his debut in Frankfurt last spring, as Nireno in Giulio Cesare in Egitto, and can be heard again this season as Unulfo in Rodelinda and Arsace in a new production of Partenope. Recent engagements have taken him to the Vienna State Opera, Carnegie Hall in New York and the Philharmonie in Berlin.
