Hollywood film magnate Sam Makintosh urgently needs an unusual subject for a new film. His daughter Marylou has an idea: the new film should be based on real life, with actors who bring their own fate to the screen. After a look at the gossip press, she believes she has found the perfect inspiration in the Grand Hotel in Cannes, France, because that is where the Infanta Isabella and her court stayed after the proclamation of the republic in Spain. It turns out that everything is in turmoil here. The strong-willed Marylou throws herself into the thick of things and is soon swept away by the maelstrom of events herself.

Theater Nordhausen

This double evening with two very different choreographic signatures gets to the bottom of the challenges and secrets of life. Ballet director Ivan Alboresi has once again invited a top-class guest to Nordhausen to work with the ballet TN LOS!. The award-winning Spaniard Alba Castillo has created numerous works for companies around the globe. In 2020 she founded the Basel-based company Snorkel Rabbit with Bryan Arias. With expressive movements and intense storytelling, she is always exploring new boundaries.

Entertainment and knowledge transfer are possible with our workshop formats! In these 60-minute morning performances, we present a current production from our theater. Through interviews with the artists involved, the audience learns exciting things about the background of the piece, interesting facts about work processes in the theater and the process of creating a production. The overall theater experience is rounded off by a large excerpt from the original production.
