The Modesto Symphony Orchestra is kicking off their 95th Season by rolling out the red carpet! Celebrate the cinematic sounds of Hollywood with John Williams’ Cello Concerto, a bold and expressive work that will feature Turlock native, Timothy Loo. The evening will conclude with Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No. 2 taking you on a rapturous journey through lyrical swells of color and harmony.

Lyris Quartet

The core of chamber music is the string quartet—a medium and format in which the history of music—going back to the era of Mozart—is expressed. Mendelsohn and Schubert bring lyricism and soul, while the Late Romantic Schoenberg barely foretells the immense legacy of this and the last century. Will a mystery quartet drink from these fresh waters? You have to be there to find out.
