In the "Dreiklang" concert series, the Nuremberg State Philharmonic leaves its usual concert halls and explores new venues in Nuremberg. Music from several centuries, programs that refer to the location and expansive sound concepts lead to new (auditory) impressions and promise an exciting musical engagement with the performance venues. The baroque ambience of St. Egidien, the former Orpheum cinema and the future destination of the State Theater in the Congress Hall - GMD Roland Böer invites you to take a fresh look at the familiar and be curious about the new.

A myth that is unparalleled: the legend of the singer Orpheus, whose music reaches the hearts of all living creatures, overshadows the man behind the fictional character. Caught between reality and dream, the spotlight and loneliness, longing for love and narcissism, we follow Orpheus on his journey into the underworld as he demands his beloved Eurydice back.

Modest Mussorgsky's classic "Pictures at an Exhibition" (arranged by Christian Reuter) tells many little stories with its music: about newly hatched chicks, about an old castle, about children playing in the park and much more. Theater educator Philipp Roosz has the right pictures to go with these stories.
