By adding a second cello instead of the traditional second viola to his String  Quintet, Schubert redefined the boundaries of chamber music, giving his work an almost orchestral depth. The timeless Adagio is a pinnacle of expressiveness.

The refinement and lightness of Viennese salons color Schubert's Trout , whose fourth movement is inspired by the famous lied of the same name. The musicians of the OSM offer it to us alongside that of his contemporary George Onslow, a great little-known romantic. An opportunity to hear pianist Godwin Friesen, winner of the 2022 OSM Competition.
