While our Festival Artists are among the world’s great chamber ensemble musicians, they can also dazzle as soloists!  All ages are invited to the hour-long performance, where adults and children can learn about the possibilities and range of each of these instruments in the hands of these virtuosos!

The allure of Paris attracted many of the great artistic minds who drew inspiration from one another. Change was in the air, and composers like Debussy and Ravel experimented with exotic harmonies and textures that became the hallmarks of French music. David will discuss how the music of foreign composers like Prokofiev and Stravinsky absorbed those new sounds and made an integral contribution to Parisian musical life.

All Souls Interfaith Gathering

Third Sound is a collective of virtuoso performers drawn from New York City’s finest chamber musicians. Fast becoming one of today’s best contemporary music groups, this “forward-looking expert ensemble” (The New Yorker) makes its Philadelphia debut with a program featuring a new work (co-commissioned by PCMS) by American-Canadian composer Kati Agócs.
