Singer

In Götterdämmerung, Siegfried takes leave of Brünnhilde to travel the world and accomplish new feats. These will be his last: during his journey along the Rhine, he falls victim to a sinister plot hatched by Alberich and his son Hagen. The downfall of the gods is now inevitable...

Götterdämmerung

Opéra Bastille

For Elina Makropoulos, this dream becomes reality in an involuntary and paradoxical experience. Long ago, her alchemist father tested an elixir of life on her. Since then, she has traveled throughout Europe, constantly changing her identity and her lover. Now 337 years old, an opera singer known as Emilia Marty, she finds herself embroiled in an inheritance dispute. While her beauty and undiminished voice still captivate, her sole objective is to rediscover the formula for the elixir, whose effects are threatening to fade. But is eternal life truly an enviable destiny?

Opéra Berlioz

An unprecedentedly popular oratorio: the story of the sufferings of the enslaved Israelites in Egypt and their determination to free themselves is awe-inspiring. No hero appears, even Moses himself remains in the background; the chorus alone describes the action. This work announces Handel’s inner volte-face, which is then fully expressed in Messiah. A chance to hear the inspiring Hervé Niquet and his Concert Spirituel in Halle for the first time.
