"Hansel and Gretel" is one of the most exciting stories of German Romanticism, contained in the famous collection of fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm. In the unsurpassed musical setting by the late Romantic composer Engelbert Humperdinck (1854-1921), it is also one of the most beautiful—for many, even "the" most beautiful—fairytale operas in all of musical literature. It appeals to both adult and young audiences and has provided many a first unforgettable operatic experience.

This ballad, which became popular worldwide as a standalone piece through pop stars, jazz singers, and chansoniers, is the beginning of one of the most striking plays of the 20th century. When Bertolt Brecht wrote the text with Elisabeth Hauptmann in 1928 as an adaptation of John Gay's baroque London "Beggars' Opera," he could hardly have imagined that a classic of epic theater would emerge that would become a permanent fixture in repertoires.

The award-winning musical TITANIC recounts the dramatic and emotional journey of the famous "unsinkable" luxury liner, whose tragic fate shocked the world on its maiden voyage in 1912. It does not recount the well-known plot of the film of the same name, but instead, with moving music and spoken dialogue, focuses on the individual fates of the passengers—based on historical figures and eyewitness accounts.
