Dear Evan Hansen is a touching and heartbreaking story about the longing to be seen and to belong. The musical, created in 2015, has played with great success on Broadway in New York and in the West End in London, and was adapted into a film in 2021. The music and the incredibly moving songs were written by Grammy, Tony, Olivier and Oscar winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who also wrote the lyrics for the films La La Land and The Greatest Showman.

Suddenly, everyone believes they were best friends. As Evan fails to correct the mistake, he becomes increasingly entangled in the deception. His popularity soars, and he finds a sense of belonging within the grieving family, who take comfort in his presence. But as the lie spirals out of control, Evan must face the inevitable truth—about himself and those around him.

The Royal Danish Theatre

In the mid-1970s, the celebrated partnership of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice – also the creators of The Phantom of the Opera, Cats and Jesus Christ Superstar – set music and lyrics to the story of a woman who both divided opinion and attained near-mythic status in post-war Argentina. Over the five decades that followed, Evita travelled from the West End to Broadway and onwards to stages across the globe, collecting accolades, Tony Awards and millions of ticket sales along the way.
