Jessica Meyer will be our guest as Composer-In-Residence as we give the Western US Premiere of a newly-commissioned work that brims with impassioned flare and fire. IFS Concertmaster Emma Rubinstein dazzles with the exotic music of Ravel, and the Symphony delivers a forgotten gem by the 19th century German composer, Emelie Mayer: her dramatic and evocative Fifth Symphony.
