The Oberlin Creative Music Lab specializes in contemporary, open-form, and guided improvisation while performing existing works written for creative music ensemble. Creative Music refers to the approach of music making established and embodied by the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians. The course seeks to honor the AACM model through a laboratory environment that allows musical exploration and experimentation.
