i bardi is a group of New York-based musicians dedicated to exploring music from the birth of the early modern era. The ensemble presents a concert of songs of love, jealousy, heartbreak, and victory from the Italian Renaissance. Dazzling madrigal diminutions by Bovicelli and Rognoni compliment arias by Mazzochi, Monteverdi, and Stefano Landi in this program designed to arouse the passions and soothe the soul.
