Three Ladies & A Strauss

This concert features three women composers. Valerie Coleman's work was inspired by her travels to a European jazz nightclub. Louise Farrenc, a piano prodigy, wrote this virtuosic piano quintet for the same instrumentation as the Schubert Trout Quintet, adding a double bass into the mix.
