The German Music Competition, founded in 1975 by the German Music Council, is aimed at professional musicians aged 18 to 30 and is held annually for various solo and chamber music ensembles as well as for composition. The competition has four rounds and offers, among other things, the opportunity to present a program of one's own design. The multifaceted support measures include the arrangement of solo and chamber concerts, individual career counseling as well as CD productions. The final concert with the winners of the competition and the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn is the highlight of this event, which sets the course for the soloists. On March 20 and 21, 2024, the final rounds of the German Music Competition will take place with the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn. The public is also welcome to attend.
