As is well known, Beethoven never visited Italy. But his relationship with the land of lemons and music was manifold. He dedicated his 3rd Symphony to Napoleon, the general who was exiled to the island of Elba. The Italophile program ends with Beethoven's "Eroica" - with the Roman-born Riccardo Minasi conducting the Ensemble Resonanz.
