9th Chamber Concert

Clara Schumann wrote in her diary about the premiere of Brahms's Liebeslieder-Waltzes: "I played very happily, the audience was really enthusiastic. The love songs - Johannes played them with me four-handed - went down well and were very well received." Originally written for vocal soloists, Brahms praised a choir performance as "exemplary". Chorwerk Ruhr presents a program all about Brahms with songs that tell of love and transience.
