The entire theater building will resonate with sound during the concert festival. Hosts of the celebration on all stages are General Music Director Leo McFall and the Hessian State Orchestra. The music, too, will audibly expand and journey into space: from Vaughan Williams' elegiac setting of a Shakespeare poem to harmonies of the spheres and Holst's popular "Planets" suite. Here, motivated amateur musicians can once again play alongside the professionals. Bruckner's Te Deum also has an epic quality: for the deeply religious composer, this powerful hymn was his ticket to heaven. For this performance, the singers from the opera chorus and the Wiesbaden City Choir will join forces.

With the production of this year's family play, Emel Aydoğdu, artistic co-director of the Young State Theater, introduces herself to the Wiesbaden audience as a director. This year, the focus is on Italy's most famous children's book character: Pinocchio.
