Orchestra I.S. presents Recall, a program investigating the relationships between the lived experiences and the subsequent musical creations by composers. Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 4, inspired by his work as a student with Josef Haydn and Felix Mendelssohn’s Die Hebriden, written after an 1829 journey to the Scottish coast, will be paired with new pieces for orchestra by seven Longy composers.
