More details
Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony represents a tumultuous emotional journey from its ominous start and ending in uncertain victory. NY Phil Concertmaster Frank Huang plays Korngold’s lush Violin Concerto — the composer’s most famous work, with melodies drawn from his film scores. Venezuelan conductor Diego Matheuz opens the concert with a piece by Inocente Carreño, based on traditional melodies of their shared homeland.
