Dvořák’s Symphony No. 7 brilliantly balances simmering drama with the rhythms of Bohemian folk music. Karen Gomyo is the soloist in Sibelius’s Violin Concerto, a work of supreme virtuosity and eloquent musical storytelling. In his NY Phil debut, Domingo Hindoyan conducts this program, which starts with Allison Loggins-Hull’s reflection on the US national anthem.
