A concert with a focus on melodic expression, from a trumpeter's perspective.

Together with his quartet, Axel presents a concert with a repertoire consisting of both jazz standards and original music. The focus is on melodic expression, where each song is given space to convey emotion and presence. In his thesis, Axel has studied the phrasing of jazz vocalists with the goal of allowing the trumpet to come as close to pure human expression as possible.
