We return to the Schleswig-Holstein Festival 2025 with our Principal Conductor for a programme of Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich, and Fazil Say. Superstar cellist Sol Gabetta is the soloist in Shostakovich’s fiery First Cello Concerto. Widely considered the height of achievement for a cellist, the piece gives the principal horn, celesta, and indeed every member of the orchestra, the chance to shine too.
