From the rousing “Strike up the Band” to his iconic “Summertime” from the opera, Porgy and Bess, the music of George Gershwin never fails to touch audiences worldwide. Under the baton of Andrew Crust, the VSO presents some of Gershwin’s most loved works, alongside classics from Richard Rodgers, Irving Berlin and Maurice Ravel.
