Get down to “unfinished” business. Only one of the three pieces in Masterworks IV was completed by the composer. Mendelssohn’s St. Paul Overture starts the concert out with majestic flair before Schubert’s Unfinished Symphony takes over with its haunting yet hopeful beauty. Finally, Mozart’s C Minor Mass brings dramatic operatic intensity to the performance’s conclusion.
