Composers capture landscapes not with paints and brushes, but with instruments and notes. Today, you'll hear three of them bring to life the landscapes, traditions and myths of their homelands. Smetana's famous Má vlast (My Fatherland) is a tribute to his native Czech Republic. The colourful sounds of Vltava (The Moldau) are the most iconic, but the other symphonic poems likewise offer striking glimpses of the Bohemian landscape.
