Exactly one hundred years since Pierre Boulez was born. Conductor, composer, theoretician, how can we sum up this figure, whose tutelary shadow continues to hover over the past century? Philippe Manoury, who was a close friend, pays tribute to him, and after his whimsical Notations , the Orchestre National de France remembers the immense Wagnerian that was Boulez: the first act of Die Walküre resurrects memories of a certain Bayreuth festival.
