Klaus Mäkelä's career trajectory is an unprecedented upward trajectory – at not even 30 years old, the Finnish conductor has established a global profile and, as artist in residence for the 2024/25 season, has become a popular regular at the Elbphilharmonie. Now he celebrates his 30th birthday with "his" Oslo Philharmonic, star violinist Lisa Batiashvili, and a truly gifted program.
