Few can spur the idiosyncratic organism of a large orchestra to such peak performances with the mere tip of their baton as Semyon Bychkov. Together with the Czech Philharmonic, which he has led as chief conductor since 2018, Bychkov embarks on a musical journey southward – the program features Italian-inspired music by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy and Igor Stravinsky.
