Mykal Rose, also known as Michael Rose, is a Jamaican reggae singer and songwriter who rose to fame as the lead singer of Black Uhuru from 1977–1985. He's known for his distinctive vocals and militant, hardcore style Johnny Clarke, Roots reggae singer whose most well-known material came from early-'70s sessions with Bunny Lee and King Tubby during the 1970s - 2020s.
