Nielsen's untamed 5th Symphony and Prokofiev's sea of flames of a piano concerto: Experience music at its most untamable. A monstrous concerto. Rebellious, unpolished – and written by a young man of just 21: Prokofiev's Second Piano Concerto is a supernova of a concerto. With civilized brutality, Prokofiev recreates the music in his own image. The result is a deeply fascinating mix of primal savagery and moments of breathtaking beauty.
