Prompted by the horror of the frequent terrorist attacks, Fazil Say's cello concerto "Never Give Up" was created as a "cry for freedom and peace." Franco-Belgian cellist Camille Thomas performed the solo part at the premiere in 2018. Rhythm and percussion, great drama and expressiveness, but also experimental sounds characterize this concerto.
