Uncle Drosselmeyer has a very special Christmas gift for Marie: a beautiful nutcracker that she takes to immediately. She stands firmly by his side during his nighttime battle with the Mouse King. As a show of gratitude, the nutcracker invites her to the kingdom of the sugar-plum fairies. Pius Maria Cüppers narrates the fairy tale by E.T.A. Hoffmann for this traditional Christmas Children's Concert.
