Aysun Bademsoy, a German-Turkish filmmaker (*1960, Mersin, Turkey – Berlin since 1969), established herself as a director in 1989, focusing on migration and intercultural everyday life. Her documentaries – including German Police Officers (1999), Honor (2011), and Traces – The Victims of the NSU (2020) – have received national and international acclaim, including at the Berlinale.
