In a tale somewhere between fairytale evocation and historical reconstruction, a mother recalls the night in Florence under "Allied" fire when a squadron of 36 British Wellington planes, aiming for the important railway junction of Campo di Marte station, inexorably missed their target, thus causing the deaths of hundreds of civilians and heavy devastation in the areas adjacent to the railway.
