With great tenderness and irreverent irony, Bidibibodibiboo, set against an imposing, all-white backdrop, recounts the choices and sacrifices, the dreams and great fears of a generation grappling with a dramatically ruthless world of work. Francesco Alberici (2021 Ubu Prize winner for Best Actor/Performer Under 35 and protagonist of the web series Educazione Cinica) paints a scathing portrait of the current state of the workplace, through the story of the ordeal of a young employee, hired on a permanent contract by a large company and finding himself caught in a psychologically exhausting competition, based solely on performance, that turns the hours spent on the job into a nightmare. Digging even deeper, the show tells us of the impossibility of discussing all this with one's own brother and with a family embodied by a mother figure who is at once reassuring and ruthless. A contemporary analysis of the power relations between large corporations and workers/institutions, and of narratives aimed at transforming dissent and diversity into "illogicality." This play was a finalist for the 56th Riccione Theatre Award. A show full of twists and turns, featuring five actors, that will leave you speechless.
