Puccini died in November 1924, so to mark the centenary of his death, there will be numerous performances of his melodramas this year. The Teatro di Belluno also wants to pay homage to this great composer with Madame Butterfly, a "Japanese tragedy in three acts,"on the same date as its premiere at La Scala in Milan, 120 years later.
