A painful, unforgettable story, that of Liliana Segre, who at just 13 years old was deported to the Auschwitz concentration camp. A story the world must embrace, to pass on what happened and what must never happen again, to help young people familiarize themselves with the painful events that are part of our past through the most appropriate means. The show recounts, in a simple and direct way, a happy and carefree childhood—that of Liliana as a child—a disrupted adolescence, a journey to the limits of survival, and a captivity that is hard to imagine. A difficult, arduous return, and, ultimately, a love that brings rebirth. In a historical moment in which the issues of immigration, national sovereignty, and borders must once again be addressed in a new way, this work of social theater proves more crucial than ever. The power of a real-life story makes tangible the precariousness of many human achievements. Something can always happen that threatens to undermine these certainties, once thought to be fully shared. Thus, those values ​​of humanity, equality, and tolerance must once again be defended, understood, and protected.
