A program of rich chamber music spanning the 20th century, from Berkeley’s elegant Sextet and Delius’ atmospheric Three Small Tone Poems to Arnold’s spirited Quintet. The concert concludes with Holst’s expansive and deeply expressive Sextet in E Minor, a hidden gem that reveals the composer’s lyrical voice beyond his famous orchestral works.
