Get swept away Schumann’s Piano Concerto in A minor, performed by Saskatchewan’s own Godwin Friesen, a rising star with deep local roots and international flair. The evening culminates in Mendelssohn’s powerful Symphony No. 5 “Reformation.”

Twelve of these musicians perform as the Regina Symphony Chamber Players, also known as the Core or RSCP. They perform in all of our mainstage performances as part of the orchestra, taking the spotlight as solo performers when needed and work together on choosing music for chamber concerts. When not playing with the RSO, these musicians are teachers, composers and performers who have made Regina the home base for themselves and their families.

Beethoven String Quartet

Kerson Leong has been described as “not just one of Canada’s greatest violinists but one of the greatest violinists, period” (Toronto Star). He will make his return appearance to Regina with a virtuosic performance of the Violin Concerto by Sibelius. The concert will put a musical spring in your step with the soaring and moody Third Symphony by Brahms.

Old meets new with this line-up of reimagined classics by Canadian composer Jocelyn Morlock, Renaissance inspired 20th century music by Respighi, and the Recomposed Four Seasons by Max Richter with the Regina Symphony’s own Christian Robinson on violin.

Celebrate St Patrick’s Day with fun night of fiddle music with a celtic twist. The RSO musicians and guest Daniel Gervais will get toes tapping with hits from the silver screen as well as Metis jig music and traditional tunes from the Emerald Isle.
