A beloved holiday classic, Amahl and the Night Visitors is a one-act opera by Gian Carlo Menotti that tells the touching story of a poor shepherd boy and his mother, whose humble lives are forever changed by a miraculous visit from the Three Kings on their way to Bethlehem. Commissioned as the first opera written for television in the United States, it has become a cherished tradition for audiences of all ages.
