Wellesley Symphony Orchestra is set to dazzle audiences with a rich tapestry of orchestral and chamber music performances in 2026 at MassBay Community College. The lineup includes the stirring 'We the People' concert, a heartfelt tribute in 'Women Compose!' featuring an elegy for the late clarinetist Dianne Mahany, and the vibrant 'Dance!' celebrating diverse dance-inspired compositions. Each concert promises a unique exploration of musical heritage, featuring works by Beethoven, Chávez, Copland, and more, with dedicated performances by accomplished musicians including Mark Latham and Emily Richardson.

Wellesley Symphony Orchestra

Dianne Mahany was a long-time principal clarinet and board member for the Wellesley Symphony, and is well known for her work with Bennington Chamber Music Conference as their treasurer.   Her joy in making music with us, and her many contributions to  this orchestra is something we treasure.  For all this, the WSO commissioned Music Director Mark Latham to compose Elegy in Memoriam of Dianne Mahany.
