Forgotten for too long, the composer deploys in her Third Symphony, created in 1847, a fiery energy coupled with remarkable melodic inventiveness. As for Mozart, his monumental "Jupiter" Symphony represents his final and masterful contribution to the symphonic genre. His final fugue presents us with themes of unparalleled purity and embodies the apogee of classical balance.
